Across all segments, price cuts are the universal indicator that an automaker has overshot the market. Regardless of its initial excitement, the glitzy media launches, or the engagement on social media, a hot car often turns cold when its cost is more than the market will tolerate. That sobering reality check has really hit the Mercedes-Benz G-class EV and Volkswagen ID.Buzz, both of which are struggling to sell despite polar-opposite consumer bases. They’re a surprising part of this month’s roundup of heavily discounted lease deals .

Ford’s lease deals were few and far between until this year, when it tilted from low-interest financing to finally offering nationwide leases—instead of “ask your dealer” estimates that weren’t backed by the factory—at competitive prices. This deal is insanely good. Choose a Bronco Sport Big Bend, Escape Active AWD, F-150 Lightning XLT Standard Range, or the Mustang EcoBoost coupe. All that’s required is a $399 signing payment, and in return, you get a cheap three-year lease with two years of free maintenance. For just another $100 per month and $100 at signing, Ford will upgrade you to a bigger Bronco, the gas F-150 STX, the Explorer Active with the Comfort package, or a Mustang GT coupe. Truck, SUV, or sports car—it’s your pick.

The Murano in the early aughts started the semi-premium crossover market and defined the segment with class-leading style, powertrains, and interior quality. Today’s Murano has long been eclipsed in popularity by the more affordable Rogue, but the latest generation brings back the unique blend of comfort, design flair, and vibrant color choices that made the original Murano a success. This lease for the SV AWD is a splashier alternative to a Rogue.

The decision is rather easy, and with winter tires, this is a budget supercar that can be comfortably driven all year in cold states.

Mercedes has never offered a factory lease special on the G-class. These SUVs, hand-built in an Austrian plant where the assembly line regularly stops for lunch, have retained high demand and substantial markups for decades. And they still are—just not on the electric G580, a brand-new model that Mercedes dealers are now discounting by tens of thousands. With double the supply versus the gas model, the G580 is a relative bargain among super-luxe trucks. Considering that the electric powertrain is a perfect fit for the G-wagen, the G580 should have been an immediate hit with customers, most of whom are puttering around town and have little need for long EV range. But they have spoken, and Mercedes is listening.

After bungling the launch of the ID.Buzz with long delays, recalls, and expensive sticker prices due to the high production costs at its commercial van factory in Germany, Volkswagen is offering a national lease deal for the first time. It’s only for the base Pro S, which still has massaging and cooled front seats, 20-inch wheels, power sliding doors, and 145 cubic feet of cargo space. It doesn’t come painted in bright two-tones, but many VW dealers are discounting ID.Buzz models of all trims by $10,000 or more. This lease is still somewhat expensive, but for VW fans, it’s a promising start. Expect more favorable pricing on this happy-faced van by year’s end.
Pickup Truck Lease Deals

Pick the right month and you’ll find full-size trucks priced within hundreds of dollars of a mid-size. That’s the case for the Sierra 1500, which in Elevation Crew Cab 4WD Short Bed trim is $60 a month more than a Canyon Elevation. The low signing payment comes without any stipulations of a trade-in or owning a current GMC truck, but it does require the turbo four-cylinder engine. If towing capacity is a concern, GMC has cash incentives on 5.3-liter V-8 trims when financing.
Toyota

In Michigan and nearby Midwestern states, there are a few too many Tacomas from the previous model year, hence this extra-low price on an SR5 4WD Double Cab. Elsewhere, a 2025 Tacoma in the same trim is $249 to $279 per month. Unlike the previous-gen SR5, the 2025 model has a turbo four with 119 extra horsepower—just as much as the old V-6—and with more standard equipment including fog lights, blind-spot monitoring, push-button start, and 17-inch alloy wheels.

Cadillac’s smallest sedan receives an equally small amount of attention. Barely more than 2600 people claimed a new CT4 through the first half of the year, a 24 percent decline from the year prior. The lease on this rear-wheel-drive Luxury trim is thousands less than a comparable Audi, BMW, Mercedes, or Lexus. The budget interior and laggardly turbo four are two glaring reasons, even if the crisp handling and accurate steering make the CT4 a worthy competitor.
